Wallace Ray Martin, age 80 of Gurley passed away Jan. 13, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Jackson County and a lifelong resident of Madison County. Wallace retired from the Madison County Board of Education Maintenance Department with many years of service. He wa a loving husband, father and brother.
He is survived by one daughter: Sharon Martin; sister: Brenda Styles; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years: Sue Frasier Martin.
Visitation is Thurs, Jan. 16, 2020, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasmount Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Danny Gipson and John McDougal. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
