Graveside Funeral service for Wallace McVay, 91, will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.
Mr. McVay died on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born October 23, 1925, in Lawrence County to Thomas Bovelle McVay and Anzie Osborne McVay. Mr. McVay was a proud World War II Navy Veteran. He was self employed as a barber until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers and sisters.
