WALLACE G. (HOOVER) STANFIELD

was born in the Cerro Gordo community of Hardin County, Tennessee on October 13, 1929 the son of the late Joe and Irene Russell Stanfield.

On June 27, 1958 he was united in marriage to Glenda White, who survives.

Wallace retired from Brown Shoe Company after 32 years and he also retired from the Savannah Police Department and he also worked for the Hardin County Sheriff Department. Wallace was also self employed in wood working which he enjoyed very much. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

Wallace departed this life on November 24, 2012 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 11 days.

In addition to his wife, Glenda of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by one son, Rickey Stanfield of Pensacola, Florida

5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

one brother, Otis W. Stanfield of Jackson, Tennessee

In addition to his parents, Wallace was also preceded in death by one son, James W. Stanfield, two brothers, Joe Stanfield, Jr. and Bobby Jean Stanfield and two sisters, Evelyn Stanfield Shaw Berry and Louise Stanfield

Services will be held on November 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee, with Johnny Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery at Savannah, Tennessee
