Wade McKinley StaggsMr. Wade McKinley Staggs, age 67, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at NHC Columbia.

 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Randy Kersey officiating.  Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on December 16, 1954, in Maury County, Wade was the son of the late William McKinley Staggs and the late Frances Rebecca Andrews Staggs.  He was in radar surveillance while serving in the Army.  Wade was an owner/operator of his own TV shop in Lewisburg.  He was a volunteer firefighter in his later years.  He loved operating his ham radio and talking to all his radio family.  Wade was of the Baptist faith.

 

Mr. Staggs is survived by his lifetime partner, Brenda King of Mt. Pleasant, daughters, Candy Ann (Peppy) Chatman of Giles County, Amanda (Johnathan) Turrell of Lewisburg, Jessica Staggs of Lewisburg, and Becca Staggs of Lewisburg, stepdaughters, Cristina Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Jessica (Buster) Bryant of Pulaski, sister, Sherry (Roger) Smith of Culleoka, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Franks, Josh Deknoblough, Roger Smith, Lynnard “Peppy” Chatman, Mike Gaines, and Bill Reed.  Honorary pallbearers will be all his friends from the Maury Amateur Radio Club.
