Mr. Wade Atchley, Sr., age 80 of Half Acre Drive in Grant, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020.
He retired 6 years ago from driving a commercial truck after 55 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam LaFave (Roger) of Colgate, Wisconsin; son, Wade Atchley, Jr. (Regina) of Grant, Alabama; brothers, Kenneth Atchley of Guntersville, Alabama and James Atchley (Elaine) of Boaz, Alabama; sister, Caroline Sue Bearden (Willard) of Grant, Alabama; grandson, Jeff Skonecki (Gail) and Kevin Skonecki (Mary) of Wisconsin; four great grandchildren; and special friend, Joan Jackson of Grant, Alabama.
Mr. Atchley was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jo Atchley; infant daughter, Rebecca Atchley; parents, J.T. & Ellie Atchley; and brother, Larry Atchley.
His funeral will be Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville. Burial will follow in Warrenton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
