Funeral service for W.P. Goodwin, 83, will be Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at New Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Morgan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Goodwin died on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 5, 1933, in Morgan County to Lee Roy Goodwin and Reedie Savannah Briscoe Goodwin. HE was a resident of the Ryan Community for 60 years and was married for 58 years to Mattie O. Fite Goodwin, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by two sisters: Bernice Smith and Mary Lee Peters.

Pallbearers will be Adam Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, Marcus Nelson, Dustin Briscoe, Chris Sandlins and Tony Clemons.
