W. J. Osborn, age 94, died Sunday, April 16, 2017. His family will receive friends today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rick Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Osborn lived in the Old Brick Community and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and a member of Muscle Shoals 1st Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Osborn; daughter, Sarah Meadows; parents, Gilbert and Sally Osborn; six sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include his sons; Thomas Osborn (Sue), James Osborn (Connie), and Carlos Osborn (Susan); daughter, Esther Aycock (Randall); sister, Esther Osborn; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Ryan Kennedy, Johnny Craft, Barry Osborn, Ricky Don Aday, Darrell Filyaw, and Kiley Holt.
