W. E. Raby, 90, passed away December 13, 2020, surrounded by family at his home in Harvest, Alabama. A lifelong farmer and resident of Madison County, Mr. Raby served on the board of directors of the Production Credit Association, Jeff Gin Co-op, and the Madison County Farmers Federation. A longtime member of Harvest Baptist Church, Mr. Raby served in the United States Army as part of the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Edith Hovis Raby; children Roger (Susan) Raby, Stephen (Denise) Raby, Mitchell (Angie) Raby, and Patricia (Barney) Atchley; along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID restrictions, his funeral services are private. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harvest Baptist Church or Kindred Hospice of Huntsville.
Pallbearers: Bryant Raby, Nathan Raby, Landon Raby, Brody Atchley, Buddy Jarrett, Randy Allen and honorary pallbearer Tyler Denton.
