Graveside funeral services for Mr. W. C. Lewis, Jr., age 79, are scheduled for 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Independence Cemetery near Lexington. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lewis went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2021. He was born September 9, 1941 in Memphis to the late William Lewis, Sr. and Elizabeth Gardner Lewis. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, retired from Real Estate, and was a very faithful member of Cornerstone Church in Nashville. He was a great father and grandfather, and he loved his dogs. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his two brothers, Preston and Mahlon Lewis and six sisters, Neota Moore, Willie Beth Houston, Mary Graham, Shirley Dean Lewis, Laverne Gurley and Athalene Lewis. Survivors include his son, Will Lewis III (Shannon); his daughter, Laura Sprinkles (Andrew); four grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 10 AM – 1 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington.
