Funeral services for Mr. Vonnie “Tom” Parrish, age 74, are tentatively set for September 4, 2021 at 1 pm at this time due to Covid-19 in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with Brother Mike Sellers officiating, visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time in chapel of Shelton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Parrish was born in Perry County, TN on January 24, 1947, and passed away on August 23, 2021, at his home in Trenton. He had worked as a brick layer for many years and later worked at Trenton Mills. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Milan, TN.
Mr. Parrish was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Millie Parrish; daughter, Candy Martinez; sister, Lois Mathis; and 5 brothers: Wayne Parrish, Larry Parrish, Jessie “Sonny” Parrish, Alvin McKnight, and Otis McKnight.
Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife, Paula Parrish; daughter, JoAnna (Matt) McNabb; son, Thomas (Crystal) Parrish; 9 grandchildren (Layla, Scarlett, Josh, Kris, Dustin, Dakota, BJ, Javier, and Kate-Lyn) and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Salles; and 2 brothers, Garry Parrish and Robert McKnight.
