Vonda Rea Johnson, 65, of Haleyville entered into rest on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 6, 1947. She was a member of Corinth Heights Baptist Church for 43 years. Vonda graduated Phillips High School in 1965 and Northwest Shoals Community College in 1971. She worked as a bookkeeper at local physicians’ offices. She enjoyed her grandchildren and reading. Vonda was a Christian lady and a loving mother and wife.
Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2012 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville, where services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery. Brother Brian Hutcheson will officiate.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry Wayne Johnson; son, Jeremy Scott Johnson; daughter, Tammy Lynn Johnson Anderson; brothers, Lowell (Joyce) Hutcheson, Donald (Pat) Hutcheson; sister, Betty Sue and was “Nana” to 1 grandchild, JerriLynn Faith Johnson. Also, by a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Frona Hutcheson; brother, Billy Hutcheson; sisters, Linda Tucker and Doris Tomlinson.
