A Celebration of Life service for Volene Lois Brown, 91 of Corinth, MS, will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 1:00 P M at 1st Church of The Lord Jesus Christ, 175 CR 509 Corinth, MS. Rev. Mike Brown will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 11:00 A M until service time at 1st Church of The Lord Jesus Christ. Interment will be at Forrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. She was born February 14, 1928 in Lee County, MS to Frank Edwards and Clara Hunt Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of 1st Church of The Lord Jesus Christ. She loved her church, was a Third Generation Pentecostal and was a pastor’s wife. She loved singing gospel music and enjoyed sewing for her family. Volene is survived by her sons, Rev. Mike Brown (Broza) of Corinth, MS and Donnie Brown of Mooreville, MS; her daughters, Doris Hopper of Corinth, MS, Lynn Brown of Corinth, MS and Miriam Brown of Corinth, MS; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Colburn (Michael), Chad Brown, Anthony Hopper (Astrid), Jeremy Hopper, Leah Clement (Chris), Eric Brown (Brittnie), Alicia Brown and Amanda Caldwell (Kevin); 16 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Samuel, Benjamin and Claire Hopper, Bryley and Evan Clement, Jayla Brown, Cale, Daylee, Maddie and Braden Brown, Clovie Caldwell, Bridgett Colburn-Murff and Anthony Colburn, Luke and Hannah Osborn; 1 great-great-grandchild; her daughter-in-law, Shirley Brown of Amory, MS; her sister-in-law, Alice Edwards of Becker, MS; numerous nieces, nephews,cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Rev. J.B. Brown; her son, John Charles “Pete” Brown; her father, Frank Edwards; her mother, Clara Hunt Edwards; her brothers, Lonnie Edwards, Bill Edwards, Jim Edwards, Travis Edwards, William Edwards, Cecil Williams, Roy Edwards, Rev. Lee J. Edwards and Horace Edwards; her sisters, Lureen Sawyer, Lena Hall and Lera Martin; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Brown and her son-in-law Jimmy Hopper. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Volene Lois Brown.
