VirginiaVirginia Miller Stitt, 73, of Huntsville, AL, lost her 2-yr battle with cancer on Tues., Dec. 29, 2015, passing away at home surrounded by her loving family. She worked many years as an administrative assistant at the Hsv-Madison County Mental Health Center. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by father, Thomas L. Miller; mother, Mary Williams Miller; sister, Zada Miller McCauley and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 yrs., Harold Stitt; loving daughters, Mary Lee Stitt, Amy Stitt, and Becky Plott (Charles); grandchildren, Ashlyn and Justin Plott; step grandchildren, Bryan and Taylor Plott; sister, Barbara Miller Clowson; brother, Richard A. Miller; several cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends: Patricia Bellknap, Sue Saint, Joyce Smith, & Karen Stanley; and dog, Izzy.
Her biggest loves were working in her flower garden; bowling; yoga classes at the SE YMCA; laughing with her husband, spending time with her daughters; dancing in the closet with her granddaughter; watching her grandson play sports; visiting with family & friends; loving on her dog (Izzy); Penn State football; and her UAH Charger family.
Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Sun. Jan. 3rd from 5-7 pm; and Mon., Jan. 4th from 10-11 am, followed by a funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Huntsville Animal Services on Triana Blvd or A New Leash on Life Organization.
