Funeral services include visitation from 10 am-12 pm and a service to follow at 12 pm at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN. A private internment for family will be held at the Walnut Grove cemetery in Trenton, TN.

A private internment for family will be held at the Walnut Grove cemetery in Trenton, TN.Virginia was born April 15, 1955 in Smyrna, TN to the late Jack and Margaret Freeman. Virginia traveled the world as a young girl, the daughter of an Air Force serviceman. She was married to her husband Steve Ellis on November 28, 1975. Virginia was a homemaker/mother early on and found a career at Middle Tennessee State University, where she retired in 2021 after 25 years of service. Her love of music was unrivaled, she never met a stranger she wasn’t willing to talk their ear off. She loved visiting the beach, and spending time with her big family
Her late father and mother, Jack and Margaret Freeman, preceded her in death.
Virginia is survived by her husband: Steve Ellis, her four children: Wendi, Christi, Josh (Paula), and Cami Henline (Jacob) her brother: Mark Freeman. She will be remembered by more than a dozen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
