Virginia Lee Byrd, age 80, of Sheffield, Al passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2014 from 1-2 P.M. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Service will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Brother Charlie James officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. He was a long haul truck driver at Coots Trucking.
He was preceded in death parents; Auzie and Selma Byrd, daughters; Linda Faye Byrd; Regina Byrd Flannigan; two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors; wife Nettie Pearl Byrd, sons;Roger Lee Byrd (Brenda), Phillip Dale Byrd (Libby), and Danny Wayne Byrd, daughters; Tina Ann Strange (Jerry), Melodie Dawn Byrd, grandchildren; Cristy, Amanda, Jessica, Josh, Clint Byrd, Brittany Decatur, 12 great grandchildren; brothers; Dallas H. Byrd (Mavis), Olen L. Byrd (Nora), Denzil Ray Byrd, sisters; Annis Marie Vest (Howard) and Sister-in-law Melba Byrd. Host of loving nieces and nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
