Virginia Isbell, 77 of Sheffield, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 after a brief illness. Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at York Terrace Baptist Church in Sheffield with the funeral service following. Graveside service will be at Colbert Memorial.
Virginia was owner of Steppin’ Out Beauty Salon for several years. She lovingly donated her time to serving as beautician for Brentwood. She was a faithful member of York Terrace Baptist Church. She was always smiling and loved helping others. She had so much love for her husband, Tom, married 62 years. She loved her grandchildren more than life itself. She enjoyed traveling and spending time on the beach. She enjoyed shopping with friends and always understood the power of a great outfit. She was preceded in death by her father James Earl Borden, mother Mattie Evelyn McCallister and step-father G.T. McCallister; brother, Travis Borden, brother-in-law, Brice Wallace; sister-in-law, Peggy Borden, and husband Tom Isbell.
She is survived by her daughters, Tommie Evans, Cindy Billings and husband Barry; son, Todd Isbell and wife Miranda; and five grandchildren Caleb Billings, Katy Billings, Saul Evans, Mattie Leah Smith and husband Brandon, and Emma Isbell. She is survived by her sister Barbara Wallace.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Keller Hospital and ECM Hospital. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Lango, and Dr. Athanasuleas for the special care they took of mom and for fighting for her every moment.
