Virginia Harper parted this life in the comfort of her home in Waynesboro, TN on Sept. 10th, 2012. She was born in Wayne County on July 26th, 1931 the youngest daughter of Mark and Ludie Aldridge. She is survived by her husband Dewey G. Harper, three sons Jeffrey, Vincent and John, one sister Katherine Risner of Wayneboro, six grandchildren, Mark Harper of Hohenwald, Sandy Ann Greene of Louisville, KY, Jennifer Ellen Harper of Nashville, Nathaniel Harper of Waynesboro, Ashley and Haley Harper of Clifton and three great grandchildren Zach, Sarah, Riley Harper of Hohenwald. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Hazel Cornelius, Retha Dabbs, Hilliard Aldridge and by her son Christopher Harper. Virginia was a devout Christian and a member of Green River Baptist Church of Waynesboro. Her passions in life were her family, her friends, gardening, quilting, sewing, crochet and helping others. Virginia’s heart and love for others was unending and her spirit lives on in so many that her life touched. Her family and friends rejoice in the knowledge that she is at peace and surrounded by the loved ones that preceded her.
