Virginia (Gina) Nell Johnson Burton, of Jacksonville, Alabama, went to sleep in death on August 1, 2022, at the age of 73 years old.
Gina is survived by her son, Kevin Burton, and daughter-in-love, Ginny Burton. Gina was also blessed with a grand-daughter that she fell in love with the moment she met, Madilynn Lang (Jacob). Gina is survived by four sisters, Barbara Jennings (Benny), Diann Schwabe (Gordon), Linda Stringfellow (Milford), Kathy Wilkinson (Michael), adopted sister, Teresa Frisby and sister-in-law, Clara Burton. She is also survived by two brothers, David Johnson and Greg Johnson. She leaves many nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Phillip Burton, daughter Lori Johnson, father Charles Johnson, mother Nellie Johnson, brother Michael Johnson and longtime family friend Samuel (Sam) Bragg.
Gina loved her family and pug, Charlie, with all that she had. She was the Matriarch of the family and welcomed anyone and everyone in her home. She will be greatly missed and forever known as the sweetest lady to everyone who knew her.
We will have a meal and celebration of life for Gina at her home with family and friends on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
