Mrs. Virginia Gayle Web Jones
Gayle will be remembered as one of the most simple, sweetest, and most loving people.
After a long-term illness with Dementia, Gayle passed away peacefully at her home in Honeycomb, bottom of Grant Mountain with her daughters by her side. Formally from Guntersville in the Sims Community. She loved her daughters, granddaughters, other family members, and friends. She loved to laugh and was friendly to everyone she met. Loved dogs, especially Brownie who passed away years ago. Before getting ill, she loved traveling and going out to eat.
Survivors include three daughters Angela Christine Jones, April Michelle Jones (Lynn) & Amy Jones – Payne (Jeremy); granddaughters Hanna Michelle Holt, Kelsey Nicole Holt, Christina Gayle Holt-Sims (Levi, Ashley Payne, Emily Payne. Grandson Lucas Payne. Granddaughter-in-law Emma Sims. Grandson-in-law Levi Sims. Great granddaughter Oaklee Gean Sims. Sisters Joann Webb-Glassco (Donnie) and Cathy Webb – Townson (Donald). As well as nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Leon Burnard Jones, Jr., mother, Beatrice Martin – Webb, father, Verbon Webb, sister, Barbara Ann Webb, and brother, Little Buddy Webb.
Gayle graduated from Marshall County High School in 1969, married Leon on March 31, 1972 and was married until his death in May 1992 from a short-term illness with Lung Cancer. She worked at the HD Lee plant in Guntersville, Barfield Health Care, Marshall Manor, Unclaimed Baggage and several other companies.
Celebration of Life will be Sunday February 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville with Brother Larry Walls officiating. Visitation will be at Carr Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest up the valley at Clear Springs Cemetery where her husband, mother, father, sister, brother and numerous family members are buried.
Pallbearers are as follows: Jeremy Payne, Levi Sims, and others.
