Graveside service for Virginia Faye Newcomb McCullar, age 87, of Decatur, will be Sunday, May 17, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Pastor Pat Patterson officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCullar, who died Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Decatur Health & Rehabilitation, was born December 5, 1932, in Jonesboro, AR, to Herman Newcomb and Maisey Jones Newcomb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy McCullar, her parents, and several siblings.
She is survived by her son, Gary McCullar (Trilby) of Hartselle; daughter, Linda Curnel of Decatur; sister, Mary Arbuckle of Yakima, WA; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pat Patterson, Brandon Curnel, Lonnie Burns, Mitch Prater, Steven Milam, and Sammy Lawrimore.
