Virginia Catherine Hill, age 90, of Tuscumbia formerly of Florence passed away Sunday ,February 5, 2017. Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 6:00-7:30 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home., Florence with Rosary to follow at 7:30 P.M. Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Hill was a devoted housewife and mother to nine children. She only entered the work field after she had raised them and then worked until the age of 80. Her passions were reading and singing, having sung in the choir of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 40 years. Preceding her in death were her husband, Norman Hill; son, Richard Hill; and daughter, Mary Clemmons. Survivors include: Children: Paul Hill Michael Hill Leonora Davis Elizabeth Counts Anna Hill Vanessa Thompson Tommy Hill Thirteen Grandchildren Two Great-Grandchildren In lieu of flowers please donate to the Florence Public Library.
