Mrs. Virginia Ann Lax passed away Friday morning, January 17, 2014, at Marliere Care Center in New Port Richey, FL. Arrangements are incomplete at this time. We will post them here when available.
A native of Somerville, Mrs. Lax was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Maudie Beatrice Henley Brown. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the District 15 area of Fayette County and had worked in sales. Mrs. Lax had lived in Floriday for the last 9 years.
She leaves her son, David Lax of New Port Richey, FL; four sisters, Helen Lax of Collierville, Josie Inzirillo and Margaret Tippitt, both of Somerville and Rosemary Hunt of Olive Branch, MS; two brothers, Otis and Boyd Brown, both of Middleton; four grandchildren, Lindsay Wedge, Courtney, Allen and Sarah Lax; and a great-grandchild, Tristan Wedge.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Lax; a sister, Elizabeth Crisp; and a brother, James Mitchell Brown.
