Virgie Lorene Horton, age 88, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 25, 1-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Audie Bogus officiating. Interment will be at Florence City Cemetery.
Mrs. Horton was a member of the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Herman H. Horton; and brothers, Doyle and Thomas Kelley.
Survivors include; Children, John D. Horton (Irene) of Pensacola, Florida, Mary Wilson of Florence, Alabama, Richard P. Horton (Jin) of Newberry, South Carolina, Bobby Horton (Donna) of Marshville, North Carolina; Eight Grandchildren; Fourteen Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson.
The family offers special thanks to Dr. Patricia Auxier, Gentiva Hospice, Bro. Audie Bogus, the late Katie Richardson & family, and each and every staff member and resident of El Reposo Nursing Facility.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to El Reposo Nursing Facility.
