Violet Marie Mattox age 76 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Limestone Lodge. Mrs. Mattox was born March 18, 1936 in Cullman, AL.
Services for Mrs. Mattox are Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Eric Mattox and Wes Mattox officiating.
She is preceded in death by her husband Coy Mattox.
She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Wes Mattox and wife Janet, Eric Mattox and wife Tammy and Wade Mattox and wife Donna; daughter, Belinda McCracken; 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren; sister, Thelene New.
Pallbearers are Jason McCracken, Will McCracken, Paul Mattox, Adam Mattox, Patrick Mattox and Lee Mattox. Honorary pallbearers are her sons, Wes Mattox, Eric Mattox and Wade Mattox.
