FRANKLIN COUNTY-On Wednesday, March 28 Alabama State Representative Johnny Mack Morrow released a statement onĀ  what he calls his proud accomplishment this session:

“The Education Budget HB 175 was sent to Conference Committee on Tuesday of last week. The House and Senate conferees met and the Bill was reported out today and was returned to the Alabama House of Representative.

The line item for Vina High School was a top priority of mine this session. The Vina High School students not having a science/band room following the tornado was not acceptable to me!

I am extremely proud to report to the citizens of Vina that working with fellow house members and senators we have added $750,000 to the Education Budget (HB 175). My friends in the Alabama Legislature, both house and senate, responded very positively to my appeal for their help!!

I have helped them during the 28 years that I have served in the Alabama Legislature and today they helped me by including this $750,000 in the Education Budget! Thanks to all of my legislative friends!!

The Bill will now be sent to the Governor for her signature after both houses have concurred with the conference committee.”
