Victor I. Richard, Jr, age 82, died on the morning of Jan 31, 2018. He was preceded in death by mother and father, Bernice and Victor Richard, Sr.; infant daughter Laura Leigh; and sister Marilyn McCray.
Mr. Richard was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a diehard football fan and had a long career, 44 years with NASA, receiving numerous rewards and citations.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys Williams Richard, son Victor I. Richard III, by the family dog, a Jack Russell named Angel, who was a loving companion, and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. with services to follow at 2:00 at Berryhill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madison County Special Olympics, in care of Kay Scott; 2095 Scott Road; Hazel Green, AL 35750 or the Huntsville Humane Society.
