MADISON-The Madison Police Department has released the name of the tragic fatality that occurred on Friday, February 12:
“Madison Police have identified the victim, and driver of the passenger vehicle, from Friday’s fatal collision as 31-year-old Jamila Kanika Davis of Savannah, Georgia.
On Friday, February 12, 2016, Madison Police Officers responded to a collision on I565 west of Wall Triana Hwy. The collision involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle. Officers learned that the tractor-trailer had been travelling west on I565, left the roadway and entered the east bound lane, striking a passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle succumbed to injuries on the scene.
The Madison Police Department extends our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Ms. Davis.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation and no further information is available at this time.”
