Vicky Ann Scott, 63, of Elkmont, AL, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at her mother’s residence in Elkmont, Alabama.
She was born on Monday, May 23, 1962, in Athens, Alabama to Mr. James Maples Scott, Jr. and Shirley Ann (Cagle) Clark of Elkmont, Alabama.
Vicky worked hard all of her life. She worked 32 years at Martin Industries and 17 years at Snap-on Tools, where she retired. She enjoyed working in her yard and swimming pool, and family gatherings. Though she didn’t have children of her own, she shared a special motherly bond with her niece Jodi Scott, nephew, Jordan Crowson, great nephews, Christopher Scott (J-Bug), Ameek Marshall, Maleek Marshall (Phat Daddy) and great niece Jayla Scott. She had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly by many.
Ms. Scott was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Penny Scott.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Ann Clark; stepmother, Ruby Scott; sisters, Sherry (Steven) Thomas, Angie (Rodney) Dugger, best friend, Paula Slaton, nieces and nephews, Scottie (Kelly) Thomas, Lance Thomas, Anna (Jake) Johnson and Whitney Kidd.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Brent Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steven Thomas, Scottie Thomas, Lance Thomas, Jake Johnson, Don Sutton and Larry Hargrove. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Scott, Ameek Marshall, Maleek Marshall, Rodney Dugger, and Tim Pepper.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
