Vickie Ridgeway Robbins, 66, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Robbins was a member First Baptist of Anderson. She was a strong, hard-working wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family fiercely and always put them before herself. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved nothing more than to take care of others. She carried herself everyday with a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. Pallbearers will be Lynn Childers, Steve Childers, Derek Ridgeway, Dale Moore, Chis Barnes, and Colton Barnes. David Cox and James Waddell will be officiating.

2 Timonthy 4:7-8

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness.”

Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist of Anderson. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.

Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by parents, Hobert and Valeria Ridgeway, and brother, Tommy Ridgeway.

She is survived by her husband, Dwain Robbins; daughters, Beth Robbins and Carol (Jason) Goodman; grandchildren, Alex and Piper Goodman; siblings, Rita Childers, Carl (Beverly) Ridgeway, and Dottie (Rickey) Moore; sister-in-law, Glenda (Jimmy) Romine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
