Vickie Laine Moore, 67, passed away peacefully at 7:07 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, under the compassionate care of Enhabit Hospice, in her home in Arab, Alabama. She was surrounded by love, with her daughter, Mallory, and her husband of nearly 40 years, Joel, on either side of her, holding her hands as she went to be with the Lord.
Vickie was born on August 6, 1958, at Sand Mountain Infirmary in Albertville, Alabama, to her mother, Mildred Launa Crump, and her father, Ira Joe Crump.
Vickie was deeply devoted to her husband, Joel, with whom she would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this coming May. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, faith, and family. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Guntersville Church of Christ.
Above all else, Vickie poured her heart into being a devoted mother. She never missed a game, ceremony, competition, or milestone throughout Mallory’s childhood, and that unwavering support continued well into Mallory’s adulthood. Her love was constant, fierce, and unconditional.
Vickie had a true gift for decorating and design and possessed a remarkable eye for detail. She spent many years working at Wright’s Furniture, where her creativity and talent shone through until her retirement in 2021. When her daughter Mallory was finally expecting her own baby girl, Vickie knew exactly how she wanted to spend her newfound free time—being an involved and loving grandmother. Becoming “Vivi” was one of her greatest joys.
Vickie is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Joel Moore, her only daughter, Mallory Harnack; her son-in-law, Joey Harnack; her treasured granddaughter, Holland Laine Harnack, age 3; and her dear friend, Kristy Knapp (FL).
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Launa Crump; her father, Ira Joe Crump; and her older brother, Ira Joe “Joey” Crump Jr.
A celebration of Vickie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Guntersville Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service immediately following. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Vickie.
Vickie will be remembered for her creativity, her bubbly personality, her devotion to family, and the deep love she shared so freely with those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
