Vicki Star Sanson, age 63 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2026, at Highpoint Health Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, she was born on November 15, 1962, to the late Ervin Sutherland and Eva Lee (Stephens) Posey. When she was twelve, she met the love of her life, Wade Sanson. They eventually married, and he treated her like a queen. She was formerly employed at CKR, as well as Hardees, Oasis, and a few convenience stores. She loved music, especially country, and enjoyed dancing when she was young. She also enjoyed working in her flowers. Vicki was a “momma” to all of her nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Roger Dale Sutherland, Brenda Sutherland, Tammy Sutherland Gifford, and Mary Sutherland Limbaugh; and brother-in-law, Paul Sansom. She is survived by her loving husband, Wade Sanson; brother-in-law, Dennis Sansom; sisters-in-law, Patricia Henley, Teresa Creames, and Melissa Sweeton; nieces, Nikki Limbaugh, Christy Gifford, Barbi Morris, Michelle Limbaugh, Jennifer Howell, Ashley Limbaugh, Kayla Swafford, Tasha Sutherland, Kelly Hill, Jessie Hill, Keisha Sweeton, and Sabrina Creamens; and nephews, Michael Limbaugh, Jeremy Limbaugh, Paul “Pud” Sansom, Austin Sansom, Richie Creames, and John May. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
