Vicki Lynnette CookVicki Lynnette Cook, aged 75, of Athens, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, October 13th, 2025. Born on August 26th, 1950, in Athens, Vicki was the daughter of Emmett and Mary Dean Lynn Meadows.

Vicki is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Cook, and her loving children, Matthew Cook and Carrie Cook. She also leaves behind her sisters, Patricia Croley (and her husband David) and Donna Chittam (and her husband Terry), as well as her brother-in-law, Sam Gossett. Vicki’s cherished aunt, Katherine Isom (and her husband James), along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members, mourn her loss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear sister, Connie Gossett.

The family warmly invites friends and relatives to join them in honoring Vicki’s life. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:45 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. This will be followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Lowell Sallee. A private graveside service for family members will take place thereafter. Pallbearers for the service include Matthew Cook, Anthony Sanderson, Terry Chittam, Tony Richter, Brad Collins, and Hayden Phillips.

Vicki was a cherished member of the Jordan Park Church of Christ, where her devotion to God and family was evident to all who knew her. She was renowned for her skills in making sourdough bread, affectionately known as “Vicki’s Bread” within her church community. Her warmth, kindness, and culinary talents will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. They find solace in knowing she is now at peace with her Lord.
