Vicki Lynn Adams, 67 passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Adams was born October 21, 1952 to Ronald Cortez Chittam and Eliza Cathrion King.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Adams will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Kasey Harbin officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:50 p.m. prior to the service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jerry W. Adams; brother, Tony Chittam; sisters, Sandra Looney (Jim) and Wanda Johnson (Jim Paul); sister-in-law, Betty Smith (Paul); nephews, Greg Looney (Lisa), Chris Looney (Amy), Mike Smith (Amy), Sam Smith (Nickie), and Brock Chittam (Molly); nieces, Micki McPherson (David), Jolie Separk (Greg), and Brooke Chittam Scott (Justin); and special friends Patti Sandlin and Freida Pressnell.

Mrs. Adams will be remembered for the smile on her face and the laughter and love she brought to others. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Alabama. There she was a Corolla Beauty, a Tide Team Mate, a Delta Tau Delta Little Sister, and very active in her Delta Zeta Sorority. Mrs. Adams taught Literature and Drama at Tanner High School for 25 years where she sponsored Cheerleading, Beta Club, and many other organizations. She was teacher of the year and has been recognized for many other accomplishments. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Church of Christ. Upon her retirement she enjoyed cooking, traveling to the beach, shopping with her sisters and friends, and spending time with the light of her eye, little Levi.
She will be missed dearly.
