TUSCUMBIA-The Veteran’s Day Parade and Program will be held November 11th. The American Legion Colbert County Memorial Post 31 is holding a Veteran’s Day Parade and Program on Tuesday, November 11th. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of Deshler High School in Tuscumbia. The Grand Marshal will be WWII Navy veteran and Post 31 member, Mr. Aubrey Smith. Veteran’s organizations, high school bands, twirling groups, antique car owners, etc., are encouraged to participate. Those participating in the parade should be lined up by 10:30 a.m.
At the conclusion of the parade, the Veteran’s Day Program will begin on the front lawn of the Colbert County Courthouse in Tuscumbia. The Veteran’s Day speaker will be Mr. Don Armstrong. Patriotic music will be provided by Mr. Tanner King. Refreshments will be provided at the Post 31 meeting hall across the street from the Courthouse at the conclusion of the program.
