SHEFFIELD-James Gregory, a veteran comedian known as “funniest man in America,” will perform two shows of hilarious stand-up comedy at the Ritz Theatre on Saturday, March 12, at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35-$55 and are available now at tennesseevalleyarts.org.
Gregory has been performing stand-up for 40 years, and his PG-rated brand of comedy storytelling has led to regular guest stints on multiple syndicated radio programs and sold-out shows across the country.
That trend of sold-out shows is continuing for his stint at The Ritz. The 7:30 evening performance sold very quickly, with only a few seats left, so a second show at 4:30 pm was added.
“We were thrilled at how quickly the first show we booked began selling out,” said Christi Britten, the executive director at the Tennessee Valley Art Association. “It really shows that people are ready to sit back and laugh. So we are happy to be able to offer a second performance
to allow more people to enjoy James Gregory’s comedy.”
