Vester Wade Pettigo – Obituary

Vester Wade Pettigo, 61, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at his home on Barnes Road near Fulton. He was born February 3, 1954. He was employed at Mueller Brass for 39 years. He was a born-again Christian. He enjoyed going fishing with his son, spending time outdoors with friends and family, riding back roads, and NASCAR. He was well-known for his jokes. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Horace McCombs and Bro. Steve Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Springs Cemetery with Bro. Lloyd Minor officiating the graveside service. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Pettigo of Fairview; his mother, Hildred Pettigo McCombs (Horace) of the Burton community; his children, Brad (Charity) Pettigo of Fulton; Tammy (Allen) Culver of Fairview, and Jessica (Michael) Blakely and Austin (Jasmine) Gasaway, all of Fulton; one brother, David (Sheila) Pettigo of Fairview; one sister, Charline (Danny) Webb of Dorsey; ten grandchildren, Tia (Luke) Storment, Madison Culver, Justin Pettigo, Christa Culver, Riley Culver, Chloee Gatewood, Riggin Blakely, Shealee House, Madi Roberts, and Bella Gasaway; and two great-grandchildren, Alannah and Adalynn Storment.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vester Pettigo, and his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Michael Blakely, Justin Pettigo, Luke Storment, Terry Brumley, Michael Presley, Mitchell Pettigo, and Riley Culver.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Paw Paw Hunting Club members, Mueller employees, Harvey Burns, and James Earl Williams
