Vester Lavon Jennings, age 85, of Crossville, Alabama, passed away on January 16, 2026, at Buck Creek Healthcare. He was born on September 20, 1940, to the late R.T. Jennings and Cecilia Jennings.
Mr. Jennings was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Albertville for more than 20 years. In his younger years, he and his beloved wife sang together in a gospel quartet, using their musical talents to uplift and inspire others. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 until 1963.
Vester was married to his wife, Linda Jennings, for over 60 years until her passing in 2024. Their marriage was a true partnership built on faith, love, and devotion. Known for his kind and generous spirit, Vester was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in tending to his flowers, finding peace and joy in caring for the things he loved.
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha (Chuck) Clark; his son, Van (Jennifer) Jennings; grandchildren, Bevin Clark (Harrison) Gambill, Caroline Clark, Steven Jennings, Sydnee Jennings, and Savanna Jennings; great-grandchild, Vivienne Reynolds Gambill; and two great-grandchildren, twin boys expected in the future. He is also survived by his brother, Ray (Mary) Jennings, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Jennings, and his sister, Jeanette Jennings (Williford) Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Chris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 1:00 pm.
