Vernon Travis Cumens, age 88 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away January 19, 2017 at Lakeland Community Hospital. He was a construction builder by trade and a member of Addison Church of God.
Visitation is Monday, January 23, 2017 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Wanelle Cumens; son, Michael Vernon Cumens (wife Patty);
sister, Eadie Weaver(M.L.); grandchildren, Kristie Moffett(Rusty), Kimberly Watkins(Tim), Brandon Cumens(Heather); great grandchildren, Sierra Cumens, Cade Watkins, Trenton Watkins, Kylie Cumens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Charlie and Pearl Cumens; sons, David Steven Cumens and Kenneth Randal Cumens; brother, W.C. Cumens and wife Gaynell.
