Vernon Keith Henry, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. He was a native of Pulaski County, Indiana and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired steel worker of U.S. Steel and a die hard Chicago Cubs fan.
Vernon was preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Virginia Henry.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Henry and James Henry and wife, Joann; daughter, Brenda Whitfield and husband, Wesley; brother, Kenneth Henry; sister, Jean Hickman; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Gillis and staff and the staff of Shoals Hospital.
