Verna Marshall Evans, of Huntsville, Alabama was born April 2, 1931 in Limestone County Alabama, and passed away on February 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Verna was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as friend to many people. She was retired from Huntsville Rehabilitation Center. Verna was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joseph R. Evans; her mother and father, William and Mary Lou Marshall; a sister, Lula Marshall Berzett; and a grandson, Chad N. Evans.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Evans; sons, Stanley Evans (Jodi), Bryant Evans (Darlene), and Gary Evans, all of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Christopher Drappier of Bellingham, Washington, Justin Evans (Krystal) of Boaz, Alabama, Carrie Drappier, and Morgan Evans, of Huntsville, Alabama; great grandchildren, Austin Borden, Joshua Evans, and Ella Kay Evans; brother, Dwight Marshall of Athens, Alabama; sisters, Betty Marshall Throneberry, Shirley Marshall Thompson, Katherine Marshall Prater (Fred), and Nancy Marshall Trent (Ken), all of Huntsville, Alabama; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be at Berryhill Funeral Home on Friday, February 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with services on Saturday, February 20 at 11 a.m., officiated by Charles Vaughn and Luther Raines. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Christopher Drappier, Justin Evans, Austin Borden, Richard Throneberry, Benny Thompson, and Kenny Trent. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Throneberry, Marshall Prater, David Marshall, and Joshua Evans.
