  Verda M. Wallace Profile Photo Madell Landreth Wallace was born on February 6, 1925 in Enville, TN. She passed from this life on January 29, 2026 in Memphis, TN.

Verda was a loving, praying mother and came from a large family. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading her bible, coloring, playing domino’s and cooking. She was well known for her chocolate pies.

Verda worked as a nursing assistant for 27 years and she loved helping others. She became a member of Legacy Church in Bartlett, TN in 1997 and enjoyed working in the nursery.

She is survived by sister, Joyce Collier Smith of Plano, TX; two daughters, Linda Qualls and husband Richard of Collierville, TN, Sherry Hawkins and husband Carl of Memphis, TN; son, James Dedrick and wife Carolyn of Savannah, TN; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Teresa Robbins of Pontotoc, MS; grand daughter-in-law, Susanna Martin; many nieces and nephews.

Verda was preceded in death by her parents, Gavin and Rosa Landreth; son, Floyd “Eddie” Robbins; grandson, Daniel J. Martin; two brothers, Everett and Herman Landreth; four sisters: Leva, Lucille, Ruthie, and Erma Jean.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
