Mrs. Vera Winfrey, age 90 of Boaz, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, March 03, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Gardens, with Brother Adam Burgess officiating. Prior to services Adams Brown Service Funeral Home will hold a visitation for Mrs. Winfrey at 1:00 p.m.
She is survived by her daughters Judy Campbell (Hamp), Kathy Wilks, and Patricia Hestand; sons Mike Winfrey (Delora) and Jeff Winfrey (Jill); brother Dennis Clark (Janice); brother-in-law Melvin Winfrey (Eugenia); 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Winfrey was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Gladys Clark; husband Thellman G. Winfrey; and sister Omagene Smith.
Pallbearers will include Adam Burgess, Ryan Bonds, Tim Richardson, Tyler Monday, Jake Winfrey, and Hamp Campbell.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County or The American Cancer Association. Thank you.
