Funeral service for Vera Rhoades Turner, age 70, of Decatur, will be Friday, May 23, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Interment will be in Grange Hall Cemetery.
Ms. Turner, who died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at her residence, was born May 21, 1943, in Madison County, to Burney Leroy Tuck and Pearlie Hargrove Tuck. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Harrison and Bill Harrison, and five brothers, A. B. Tuck, John Tuck, Lewis Tuck, Leslie Tuck, and Gordon Patterson.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Rhoades of Boaz, and Joseph Rhoades, Jr. of Danville; three daughters, Linda Counts and Vivian Stone, both of Decatur, and Donna Caldwell of Albertville; two brothers, Gene Tuck, Sr. of Ripley, and Raymond Patterson of Dade City, FL; one sister, Betty Hopper of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
