Vera Mae Johnson, age 81, of Huntsville, passed away on Saturday March 2, 2013.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Johnson, her sister Maria P. Fanning, and her parents, Callaway and Gracie Webster Fanning. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed time with friends and family, going to church, and listening to southern gospel music.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Timothy H. Johnson and wife Judy, Anthony H. Johnson and companion Sherry Miller, and Stacy Whitmire and husband Brad; and her grandchildren, Wesley A. Johnson, Elizabeth G. Johnson, Taylor Whitmire, Seth Whitmire, Eli Whitmire, Emily Jackson, and Ashley Jackson.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at 11 am in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Wayne Kimbrough officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
