Obituary of Vera Mae Donahue  Vera Mae Donahue, 99, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born August 25, 1925, to George Elbert and Katie Mae Hancock. She was a member of Gaston Baptist Church and attended Danville Baptist Church. She enjoyed feeding everyone, watching college football and game shows, and loved taking care of her family.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Leatherwood officiating and Briceson Donahue delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

She is survived by four sons, James “Buddy” Donahue, Ronnie (Sandy) Donahue, Johnny (Nan) Donahue and Brian (Rebekah) Donahue; three daughters, Jane Hargett, Patricia Stewart and Jamie Perry; one sister, Mary Wicks; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, E.J. Donahue; two sons-in-law, Ernest Hargett and Ricky Perry; three brothers, Howard Hancock, Willie Hancock and Buford Hancock; and one sister, Beatrice Barron.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.
