Vera Joyce Chaffin passed away at her home on Monday August 26th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 2nd, 1931 and was 88 years old.
She was born and raised in Pulaski, TN and a 1951 graduate of Martin Methodist College. Joyce was retired after 38 years from First National Bank where she was also on the Board of Directors. She was a member of the Pulaski Literary Club and loved to play the piano, garden, and listen to bluegrass music.
Visitation will take place Wednesday August 28th, 2019 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 from 11:00am until 12:00pm with a graveside service to follow at 12:30pm at Maplewood Cemetery with Tony Gomillion officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial gifts be made to First Baptist Church- Pulaski
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Pearl Evelyn Muse Fitzgerald, brother, Thomas Calvin Fitzgerald, and sister, Mary Louise Lane
