Venus Earon Hester, 88, Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at her residence with her family around her.
Mrs. Hester was a member of the Centerview Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Frankfort Homemakers.
The visitation will be 11-1 p.m. today at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating at the service will be Brother Cecil Cox. The interment will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her children, Dale Rickard (husband, Bob), Pam Daniel (husband, Roger), Andy Hester (wife, Sherry); grandchildren, Tara Oliver (husband, Shannon), Glen Rickard, Mandy Swinney (husband, Anthony), Michael Hester, Juliana Hester; great-grandchildren, Bailey Oliver, Riley Rickard, Raegan Rickard; brothers, Thomas Taylor (wife, Guyuna), Faris Taylor (wife, Mildred); sister, Alta Mae Grissom; brother-in-law, Fred Mitchell; special friend, Mattie Fuller; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Hester; son, Anthony Hester; parents, Riley and Dessie Taylor; and sister, Helen Mitchell.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, Jennifer, Kathy, Michelle and our caregivers, Sandra, Lonnette, Chasity, Rhonda and Shirley for the love and care shown to our mother and grandmother.
