Venita Kay Abernathy, 62 of Arab passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Hospice Family Care Facility in Huntsville. She was born March 21, 1959 the daughter of Barney Whisenant and Nellie Mae Grady Whisenant.
She is survived by Daughter: Amanda Grant; Sons: Shane Garmany (Katrina), Jared Garmany, Brad Grant and Chad Grant (Miracle); Sister: Vickie Guess; Brothers: Toney Goble (Deb), Wilburn Goble (Diane), Jonathon Finley and Anthony Finley (Jan); Special Friend: Mike Ferguson; Stepdaughters: Nikki Schrader (Danny) and Dana Grant; Nine Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren; Host of Nieces, Nephews, other family members and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by: Father: Barney Whisenant; Mother: Mae Jo Finley; Brothers: Kenney Whisenant and Jimmy Ward.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
