Mrs. Veneeda Childress, age 86 of Albertville, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Funeral Home, with Brother Gene Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 2:00 pm till the time of service, burial will follow at New Harmony of Geraldine.
She is survived by her daughters Teresa Orr (Willie) and Shree Childress; daughter-in-law Myra Childress; sister-in-law Donna Smith; grandchildren Eric Orr, Bridget Lowery (Joey), Jennifer Brown (Joe), Scottie Childress (Stacey), and Leeann Snider (Adam); great grandchildren Patelyn Walden (Crimson); Josie Brown, Conner Lowery, Brandon Parr, Ava Orr, Marlee Durham, Maddy Durham, Karlie Brown and Will Brown; and great great grandchild Canyon Walden.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nollie and Roxie Smith; husband Dewey Lee Childress; sons Orval Lee Childress and Ricky Childress; sisters Barbara Elwell, Jeanett Ferrell, and Meliose Puckett; and brother Wendell Smith.
Pallbearers will include Joey Lowery, Conner Lowery, Crimson Walden, Scottie Childress, Brandon Parr, and Adam Snider.
