Velma Sisco Chrisman, passed away on, Friday, October 7, 2022 at her home, in Scottsboro.
Born January 15, 1922, to Ben and Virgie Sisco, Velma lived her entire life in Scottsboro and celebrated her 100th birthday in January of this year.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William (Bill) Chrisman; son, Jerry Chrisman; son-in-law, Larry Canerdy; brothers, Rayford Sisco and Bennie Sisco; sister, Alma Sisco; brothers-in-law, Archie Chrisman and Ed Chrisman; and sisters-in-law, Ettie Bell and Nona Bradford.

Mrs. Chrisman is survived by her daughter, Brenda Canerdy; daughter-in law, Martha Ayers; grandchildren, Amber Dunlap, Jessica Samples, Matthew Canerdy and Thomas Chrisman, as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Stewart; sister-in-law, Vera Sisco; brother and sister–in law, Cleburn and Linda Chrisman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Chrisman’s memory to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6073, Scottsboro, Al.
